How do I verify the qualification of my tutor?
To provide you with the confidence in the ability of the tutor assigned to your child, we get tutors to make a photocopy of their certificates for your verification on the first lesson. Should this not be done, please inform us and we will take the appropriate action. In the case of the tutor's qualification being inaccurate, please contact us without hesitation. We will determine the cause and if it is a deliberate fraud, we will get you a new tutor and the first lesson given by the previous tutor will be free of charge.
How do I request for a tutor online?
You may fill up the Tutor Request Form on the home page or you may call us at 6639-9492.
How do I request for a tutor via phone?
Call us up at 6639-9492 to speak to our friendly coordinator. We will ask you for the following information and do the matching for you.
i) Name of Student
ii) Tutoring subject and level
iii) Once or Twice a week, hours per lesson
iv) Preference for Undergrad, Graduate or Teacher*
v) Preferred Tuition days/time
vi) Preference for female tutor?
vii) Quote and decide price
viii) Address, which MRT station is close-by
ix) Your Email address?
What is the arrangement with regard to payment?
If you prefer payment to be made in cash, you will pay our tutors half of the first month's fee directly on the 2nd lesson and our tutors will bank the full amount as commission charge into our account. If you prefer cheque payment instead, you can bank the above mentioned amount to us directly: POSB Savings account 057-56719-8. You will pay for the next half month's fee on the 4th lesson to our tutor. Payments on subsequent months can be made on the 4th lesson of each month to our tutor and they will not be liable to further charges.
What if I wish to have the tutor changed after the first lesson?
After the first lesson, the coordinator assigned to you will contact you by phone to gather feedbacks and find out whether or not you wish to continue engaging the tutor.
If you wish to change the tutor, you can ask our coordinator for advice. Our coordinator will then recommend the next best tutor to replace. You need not pay for the first lesson if you decide to change the tutor before the second lesson. This first lesson will then be considered as a trial lesson. Note that changing a tutor will not incur any additional charges.
If you cannot make a decision after the first lesson, you can continue for a few more lessons. Note that you only need to pay for the number of hours of lessons attended, this includes the first lesson since it will not be considered a trial lesson anymore.

How much do I have to pay for the service of Prime Tutors?
There is a one time commission charge of 50% of the monthly tuition fee. There will be no additional charge imposed on the parents. We will collect this payment directly from the parents, tutors are not allowed to collect this fee on our behalf.
What is the age limit with regards to tutors?
You need to be at least 18 year old in order to qualify for registration.
What is the minimum qualification required?
You need to have at least an A Level or a Diploma qualification to register.
Do I have to pay to register with Prime Tutors?
No, registration is free and commission will only be charged upon successful matching of a student to you.
Do I have to send in my certificates as a proof of my qualification?
There is no need to send in any hardcopy but you are encouraged to upload a digital copy of your relevant certificates at our website. Tutors who have their qualifications verified will receive a special badge on their public profile. If you choose not to upload your certificates, we require you to produce a photocopy of your certification on the first tuition class which is to be passed to the parent.
How does the matching work?
When we receive a tutor request from parents, we will match the request based on the subject(s), level of tuition and their location with our database of tutors. We will then call up suitable tutors after we have compiled a list of candidates. Tutors can also express their interest in the request by indicating interest to us in the "Assignments" page or by calling the coordinator directly (coordinators may leave their contact number in the assignment lising).
What is expected on the first lesson?
- Firstly, please get the location right and be there on time.
- In case of any emergency, you can contact Prime Tuition or call the parent directly.
- Bring along your Identification Card and a copy of your certificates for verification purpose.
- Start on the Goal Setting process with your student!
What will happen if I terminate the tuition assignment within the first month?
You are strongly encouraged not to do so, as it will affect your credibility with Prime Tuition. In the event that it does happen, you will not receive any payment from Prime Tuition or the parents. We will match another tutor to the student.
How do I contribute study tips to be published?
You may send them to our email. If we find them really useful, we will definitely publish them on our website under your name.
